Local food to be featured at Virginia Home and Garden Show

DOSWELL—Homeowners who want to learn more about beautifying their property also will have an opportunity to purchase locally grown food and other Virginia food products at the inaugural Virginia Home and Garden Show Jan. 14-16 at the Farm Bureau Center at The Meadow Event Park.

The event will include the Taste of Virginia indoor farmers’ market, sponsored by Virginia Farm Bureau Federation.

"We are glad there is another opportunity for local vendors to show consumers what’s available to them in Virginia," said Keith Langley, VFBF advertising and marketing supervisor.

In addition to home, garden and food vendors, the event will feature gardening presentations by horticulturist André Viette and "The Renegade Gardener" Don Engebretson, a field editor, writer and garden scout for Better Homes and Gardens magazine.

Farm Bureau members will receive two tickets for the price of one when they present their membership cards. For discounted tickets and show information visit VAHomeandGardenShow.com.
