Today's youth are Farm Bureau's future members and agricultural leaders. Youth organizations promote leadership skills which are vital to the agriculture industry.
Activities include:
- Encourage enrollment in vocational agriculture programs, FFA, 4-H and other related youth organizations; and to speak to such groups on the importance of Farm Bureau and the Young Farmers’ Program.
- Promote enrollment and application to scholarships in Virginia Tech’s Two-Year Agriculture Technology Program.
- Work to promote Agriculture in the Classroom by offering farm visits, volunteering to speak to classes, and providing monetary contributions.
- Encourage participation in the Outstanding Young Agriculturalist Award to all Junior and Senior high school students throughout the state.
